The Val di Fassa is known as one of the most famous and historically popular tourist destinations in Trentino: thanks to its splendid Dolomite peaks and its green and uncontaminated woods, it presents itself to tourists as an ideal place for summer holidays where among huts, refuges, trekking and good food reconciles us with an authentic nature.
Geographically the Val di Fassa occupies the north-eastern end of Trentino, borders with the province of Bolzano (Alto Adige) and Belluno (Veneto). It can be reached from the south via the San Lugano Pass and the Val di Fiemme, from the north through the Costalunga or Sella Passes, and from the east through the Passi Pordoi, Fedaia and San Pellegrino. It is crossed by the Avisio stream which, crossing the Val di Fiemme and the Cembra valley, flows into the Adige near the capital. The valley is therefore totally immersed in an alpine landscape of extreme beauty and rarity, a candidate to shortly enter the UNESCO world heritage list.
In the summer, hikers and excursionists in the Cima Bocche area, the Lusia lakes, the Sella Pass and the San Pellegrino Pass include trenches and fortifications reminiscent of the First World War on the Dolomites.
A sea of ??colors spreads in front of the observer's eye, from the intense green of the woods and the meadows in bloom to the deep blue of the rivers and alpine lakes up to the magical phenomenon of the "Enrosadira", which turns the sunsets and creates effects of light unique in the world, transforming the Val di Fassa into a magical enchanted garden.
