It goes without saying, when talking about active holidays in Trentino and in Val di Fassa, one immediately thinks of excursions, walks, fun at high altitude. Val di Fassa: the very heart of the Dolomites

Val di Fassa is known as one of the most famous and historically suited tourist destinations in Trentino: thanks to its splendid Dolomite peaks and its green and uncontaminated woods, it presents itself to tourists as the ideal place for summer holidays where among mountain huts, refuges, trekking and good food reconciles us with authentic nature.

Geographically, the Val di Fassa occupies the northeastern extremity of Trentino, bordering the provinces of Bolzano (Alto Adige) and Belluno (Veneto). It can be reached from the south via the San Lugano Pass and the Val di Fiemme, from the north via the Costalunga or Sella passes, and from the east via the Pordoi, Fedaia and San Pellegrino passes. It is crossed by the Avisio stream which, crossing the Val di Fiemme and the Val di Cembra, flows into the Adige near the capital. The valley is therefore totally immersed in an alpine landscape of extreme beauty and rarity, a candidate to soon enter the world list of "World Heritage" by Unesco.

In summer, hikers and hikers will find trenches and fortifications that recall the First World War in the Dolomites in the Cima Bocche area, the Lusia lakes, the Sella Pass and the San Pellegrino Pass.

A sea of ​​colors stretches out before the eye of the observer, from the intense green of the woods and meadows in bloom to the deep blue of the Alpine streams and lakes up to the magical phenomenon of "Enrosadira", which reddens the sunsets and creates effects unique in the world, transforming the Val di Fassa into a magical enchanted garden.

When summer arrives, Val di Fassa turns into an open-air gym: throughout the valley it is possible to practice a great variety of sports, able to satisfy every palate.
